    Your Xian historical tour will begin with a visit to the famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Reputed as the World’s Eighth Great Wonder, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century. You will see a large number of collections of life-size terracotta soldiers and horses with different facial expressions and postures, ancient weapons and chariots made 2,000 years ago arranged in the battle formations. These terracotta soldiers and horses are great examples to learn the ancient history and culture of the Qin Dynasty.

    A visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda will be scheduled for the next activity. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a famous Buddhist pagoda in Xian which was built in the Tang Dynasty. Built with traditional Chinese architectural characteristics and profound Buddhist culture connotation, you will o admire Buddhist Religion culture and its attractive architecture when visiting there.

    Then we will move on to visit Shaanxi History Museum. It is one of the first huge state museums with modern facilities in China. Housing a large collection of historic and cultural relics, including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects, Shaanxi History Museum will give you a better idea about ancient Chinese history and culture.

    Afterwards, our guide will transfer you back to the hotel.

    This morning out guide will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to visit Qianling Mausoleum. The Qianling Mausoleum are tombs housing remains of Emperor Gaozong (649–83) and his wife Wu Zetian (690–705), China’s only female emperor. The mausoleum is located on Mount Liang, 6 kilometers north of Qian County of Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. Besides the main mausoleum, there are 17 small tombs for other members and officers of the royal family. Featured with classical Tang Dynasty architectural arts and skills, the Qianling Mausoleum is outstandingly noted for its magnificent architectures, the many stone statues and steles above the ground and the mural paintings decorated to the underground walls of the tombs.

    Then we will move on to visit Maoling Mausoleum. Maoling is the tomb of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty (156–87 BC). The mausoleum is locaed about 40 kilometers west of Xian. As the largest of all the tombs built during Han Dynasty, the Maoling took 53 years for its construction. Around Maoling Mausoleum, there are smaller tombs accompanying it. Most of them are tombs of Emperor Wu’s court, such as his empress, concubine, and his famous military strategist Huo Qubing and Wei Qin. Maoling also has rich burial contents from its period which hold high historical value.

    Next our guide will transfer you to see the famous Famen Temple. Famen Temple is located in Famen Town of Fufeng County, which is 120 kilometers west of Xian City. With a history of 1,700 years, Famen Temple is a famous Buddhist temple with a long history. Famen Temple is considered as the “ancestor of pagoda temples in Guangzhong area” and it is especially famous for the finger bone relic of Sakyamuni it stored. Besides the Buddha’s relics, there are also relics of gold and silver, colored glaze, ceramics, silk and figure of Buddha preserved in the temple. Its classical and magnificent architecture of the temple is also worth seeing.

    Afterwards, our guide will transfer you back to the hotel for a good rest.

    After breakfast in the morning, our guide will bring you to visit the Ancient City Wall. The Ancient City Wall is a famous landmark in Xian. The City Wall is the largest and best preserved Ming Dynasty city wall. Visiting the City Wall, you can not only learn city construction and architectural arts in ancient times. Also you can get some good views of Xian city.

    Next our guide will take you to visit the Stele Forest. The Stele Forest is a museum for steles and stone sculptures in Xian. Housing more than 3,000 steles, the Stele Forest has the largest collection of steles in China. Built in 1087, the Stele Forest has a long history and has made great contributions for protecting precious ancient steles. With its collections and exhibitions of ancient works of calligraphy, historical records and stone carvings, the Stele Forest Museum is a great place to learn more about Chinese history and culture.

    After lunch, our guide will take you to visit the Gao's Family Courtyard located in Muslim Street. The Gao’s Family Courtyard is an ancient Siheyuan firstly built during the Ming Dynasty. With its featured Ming and Qing architectures, the Gao's Family Courtyard has a collection of ancient furniture, paintings, porcelain, pottery preserved from Ming and Qing dynasties, and folk arts such as shadow puppet for exhibition. You will watch an amazing shadow puppet show there.

    At last, our guide will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. Have a nice trip!
