    Meet with your Tibetan tour guide at Lhasa airport or Lhasa Railway Station. Board on a coach which transfers you to your hotel.  Have a good rest for the rest of the day so you will acclimatize to the high altitude and enjoy the most of your Tibet tour.

    For the diversion on the first night in Tibet, you are recommended to visit the local market and Ramoche Monastery nearby.  You are advised not to take activities which will make you overly excited. Any alcohol intake is strongly not recommended for the sake of your health.

    it is one of the key cultural relic protection sites in Lhasa, located on the north of Barkhor Street, in the area with a local market and many traditional style Tibetan style civilian houses.

    After breakfast at the hotel, the first place to visit is Potala Palace, the landmark of Tibet. The Potala Palace is located in the northwest of Red Hill in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. It is a large-scale castle-styled building with 13 floors and 110 meters tall, 3750 meters above sea horizon. The whole building occupied over 100,000 square meters and the steps of the palace are leaned to Red Hill from foot to peak. This antique castle is not only famous of its remarkable construction, but also for its valuable cultural relics.

    Next, we will proceed to visit the Jokhang Temple, it is the religious heart for Tibetan Buddhism and there are many devout Buddhism adherents come from other places around Tibet to show their sovereign respect here by using their knees and hands pray on the floor.

    Then we will be on our way to Barkhor Street. It is the most famous street in Tibet. The Barkhor Street was built to circle the sacred Jokhang Temple, making it one of the most sacred places in Tibet. There are pilgrims from everywhere to worship and chant in the street. Strolling along this street you will have a quick view of Tibet and Tibetan life. 

    There are houses and buildings of Tibetan styles standing alongside the street. Along Barkhor Street there are more than 300 stores and stalls selling various kinds of commodities and you can buy various kinds of souvenirs and gifts.

    Today, we will visit two important monasteries in Lhasa, the Drepung and the Sera. 

    Drepung Monastery is one of the “Great Three” Gelugpa university monasteries of Tibet. Located at the foot of Mount Gephel, the monastery is only 5 kilometers from western suburb of Lhasa. With an occupation of 250,000 square meters and a house of 7,700 monks, Drepung Monastery is the largest monastery in the world.

    Sera Monastery will be arranged as the last destination to see today. The Sera Monastery is one of the “Great Three” Gelugpa university monasteries of Tibet. It is located at the foot of Taipu Hill at the northern suburb of Lhasa. Besides the magnificent construction, Sera Monastery has collected a large number of cultural relics like Buddha statues, Thangka, sutras, and many other religious tools. Sera Monastery is especially famous for its unique debate Buddhist doctrines. You will have chance to witness the debate.

    In the morning, drive through the green farmland of Nyangchu Valley, Yamdro-tso lakes, pass the Karo-la glacier roadside at 4960m. As you head westwards driving by Gyantse, visit Pelkhor Chode Monastery. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Shigatse, the second biggest city in Tibet, where Panchen Lama held religious and secular power.

    Yamdrok-Tso Lake
    The Yamdrok-Tso Lake, or Yamdrok Lake, is one of the three largest sacred lakes in Tibet, with the other two being Namtso Lake and Lake Manasarovar. It is the largest inland lake on the northern foot of Himalayas with a surface altitude of 4,441 meters. Yamdrok is reputed for its beautiful and charming scenery of pure lake, snow mountains, islands, vast pastures.

    Karola Iceberg
    It is located in the boarder of the Langkazi County and the Gyangze County of Shannan Prefecture of Tibet. It is about 71 kilometers (about 44 miles) from Gyangtse County and about two hours away from Yamdrok Lake. Karola Iceberg is popular for its breathtaking views. The sharp contrast between the majestic pure white glacier and the pure blue sky forms really striking scenery.

    Pelkhor Chode Monastery
    The Pelkhor Chode Monastery, also known as Palcho Monastery, lies at the foot of the Dzong Hill in Gyantse County, Shigatse Prefecture of Tibet. It is built in the beginning of the 15 century and is a monastery that blends three sects of Tibetan Buddhism, Sakyapa, Kadampa and Gelugpa. The Pelkhor Monastery is famed for its long history, exquisite architectures, unique religious value, and the numerous delicate murals and sculptures preserved there. Its architectures are specially respected as they are combinations traditional Chinese, Tibetan and Nepali styles. You will appreciate its most stunning architecture Pelkhor Chode which is also called as the “Kumbum”.

    After breakfast, our guide will pick you up at the hotel then you will be on the way to another destination: Tashilunpo Monastery.

    Leaving Tashilunpo Monastery, you will be transported back to Lhasa and check in to the hotel. Have a good rest.

    Tashilunpo Monastery is one of the “Great Six” Monasteries of Gelugpa in Tibet. It is situated at the foot of Drolmara in Shigatse and is the largest monastery in Shigatse. Tashilunpo Monastery was founded in 1447 by Gendun Drup, nephew and disciple of Tsongkhapa. As one of the oldest and largest Gelug sect monasteries in Tibet, Tashilunpo Monastery is also the traditional seat of successive Panchen Lama. The monastery has imposing architecture complex to appreciate, among which the most outstanding ones are the Maitreya Chapel, Kelsang Temple and Thangka Wall. Besides, its historical and cultural relics including exquisite wall paintings, murals, rare sutras, Thangka and many other treasures really worth exploration.

    Pick you up at your hotel, then transfer to Lhasa Railway Station or Lhasa Airport to depart.

    After breakfast, our guide will escort you to the airport for your departure flight. Have a nice trip.

    Our airport shuttle bus leaves at 07:30 and 11:00 from downtown Lhasa.  You can choose from the two timing points based on your flight departure time. We will pick you up at your hotel lobby.

2) Airport or Railway Station to hotel shuttle bus
Our airport and railway staion shuttle bus leaves at 12:20 and 16:00.  Each passenger (except an infant) can check-in a maximum of 2 pieces of baggage, total dimensions per bag shall not exceed 158 cm (62") .  Over sized and excess baggage are subjected to the availability of storage space on coach, and surcharge will be levied.

If you do not like to wait for our shuttle bus, please arrange your airport/hotel transfer by yourself.  
The extra cost for airport to hotel private transfer by a 7-seater van working is USD70 per van one way.  The taxi fare is about USD60.  Please notice this extra tranfer fare will be paid by you.

The extra cost for railway station to hotel private transfer by a 7-seater van working is USD50 per van one way.

3) Hotel to airport and railway station shuttle bus
Our airport shuttle bus leaves at 07:30 and 11:00 from downtown Lhasa.  Please tell us your flight detail upon reservation.  We will tell you the exact pickup time from your hotel.

4) Hotel upgrade
The hotel inclusive in this quotation is 3 star, you can upgrade to local 4 star at extra cost of USD100 per person.  (Lhasa Gangjian Hotel 4 *and Tashichota Hotel.Shigatse 4*)

5) Sky Train Ticket
We can buy all train tickets departing from Lhasa at an extra cost if required.  But we are not able to buy train tickets from Beijing to Lhasa, Xian to Lhasa, Chengdu to Lhasa, Chongqing to Lhasa.

6) Single Supplement
Our price is based on twin/triple share.  Single supplement will be added if you need to stay overnight alone.
