Chengdu-Guiyang high-speed railway started service on December 16. The 648 kilometers long railway links Guiyang and Chengdu, two transport hubs in southwest China. The line also connects many tourist attractions, in a region known for its mountainous terrain. The new high-speed railway in southwest China is expected to greatly facilitate travel and boost tourism in the region.
