After five years of construction, China’s enormous new Daxing International Airport is set to open to serve the capital Beijing on September 30, 2019. With 4 runways, and more planned in future expansions Daxing will be Beijing’s second international airport after Beijing Capital International Airport. Road and rail links between the airport and the main city are already in place and should be fully operational when service begins from the airport.
